On 26 November 1950 RHAF Flight No. 13 began serving in the Korean theater operating six Douglas C-47 Dakota transport aircraft. This flight was attached to the US Air Force’s 21st Troop Carrier Squadron.

A detachment of the Royal Thai Air Force arrived in Japan on 24 June 1951. The detachment operated Douglas C-47 Dakota transport aircraft and was attached to the US Air Force’s 21st Troop Carrier Squadron.
