BELGIUM FORCES
Belgiums Korea Volunteer Corps (Corps Volontaires Corea) was comprised of 900 Infantry troops. The 1st Belgium Battalion (1st Bataillon Belge) arrived in December 1950 and was attached to the U.S. 3rd Infantry Division in January 1951. It was replaced by the 2nd Belgium Battalion (2nd Bataillon Belge) in Aug 1951. The 2nd Belgium Battalion remained in Korea until Jun 1955. Additionally, a 44-man, all volunteer infantry platoon from Luxembourg served with the Belgium Battalions throughout the war.
